DS surgeon in the SLC area

Has anyone ever had a DS with Dr. Daniel Cottam?

There are a few of his patients around.  I think your other choice is Simper?

I have heard of Simper too.......but he is a LOT more money and I'm self pay. Do you recall any negative with\about Dr. Cottam?

Self pay?  Check out Ungson in Mexico.  Excellent surgeon.

I was self pay in Mexico with Ungson a month ago.  They charged me $13K.  Other than the air plane ride, it was just like having surgery anywhere else.  A little cleaner I think in Mexicali, I used to get annoyed at all the people coming into my room to clean some days.

I agree with Patty, you won't go wrong with Dr. Ungson. But as far as Mexico goes, there is no one else most of us would recommend for the DS.

If you do go with Dr. Cottam, just make very sure you clarify you want the DS and not the SADI, which is experimental and longterm results are unknown.

I just saw this post!! Super late but I will answer since we communicated on another post the other day. Dr. Cottom did my surgery and I already told you how my results are! I have a close friend who did her DS with Dr. Simper and we have both had fantastic results. Hers was covered by insurance though and I did self pay. Dr. Cottam's receptionist drives me insane and one of his nurses sucks at drawing blood (but is super nice) but other than that I have had a really good experience. That's fun you are in the SLC area!
